New Hall Hotel and Spa

New Hall Hotel is always a firm favourite. It has everything a wedding photographer dreams of for a successful wedding days photography.

Kelly and Andys’ day was no exception to this, and to top it off the wedding party was so full of fun, love and so much laughter that at times I had a hard job keeping my camera from shaking because of my own giggles – Thank goodness for image stabilization!

Ettington Park Hotel

Lisa and Eddies day at the spectacular Ettington Park Hotel in Stratford Upon Avon

This couple and their guests were non stop fun from start to finish. I could quite easily do three separate blogs about this day and the photos we shot – One would purely be featuring Lisa’s dance moves!!.

Ettington really is one of my favourite venues, with its history, beautiful architecture, rambling ruins in the gorgeous gardens and not to mention ghosties that many have seen and tend pop up around the hotel and ruins.

Malmaison – Oxford

Malmaison Oxford steeped in its dark history, with its quirky fixtures, nooks and crannies makes for the most unbelievable atmospheric photos, right in the middle of a bustling city. Moody skies and soft light inside and out made this wedding day a dream to photograph. We had so much fun and the laughs were non stop from beginning to end.

Aston Wood Golf and Country Club

From the moment I met childhood sweet-hearts, Hannah and Matt well over a year ago, I just knew that their wedding was going to be one of those wedding days that people would be talking about for years to come. I was not wrong! Their special day was perfect.
After my first meeting with them, I left the house with hugs and kisses from everyone and 18 months later I walked back into the house and those hugs and kisses were waiting for me.
Held at the lovely Aston Wood Golf Club, it was a perfect day for an outdoor wedding ceremony. I was so excited to make the most of the gorgeous day and surroundings, as when I’d shot weddings at the venue before, the weather had been awful.
With sun high above in the gorgeous blue sky, Hannah walked down the aisle to a waiting Matt and her smile never faltered. I could hear the “ooh’s” and “aah’s” from the guests as she walked towards her husband to be. She was radiant!
Throughout the day there was such a joyous atmosphere surrounding us all. I found myself tearing up on many an occasion as I circulated, watching and capturing the special moments of love and laughter between the couple, their families and wonderful guests. In fact, one of the most special moments I have ever captured, was when Hannah’s dad gave his daughters hand to Matt. The look that passed between the two men was one of complete trust and love. I had to quickly sniff away the tears!

Thank you Steph. Thank you so much for being a part of our day, you were amazing! xxxx – Hannah

Wow! What can I say? You have truly captured some wonderful moments from a special, special day. You are a truly talented photographer and a wonderful person.
Thank you and Nick for all your hard work xxx

Clearwell Castle

I believe that wedding photographs should tell a story and be able to transport you back to the day and all the wonderful moments and memories that were made.
Andy and Sarah’s wedding photography at the gorgeous Clearwell Castle does just that! Every time I look through the photographs, I smile remembering the day, the venue, the wonderful guests and most importantly Andy and Sarah and how happy they were.
Set in the middle of the Gloucestershire countryside, Clearwell is stunning with its sweeping drive, archways and ramparts. You can’t help but feel a sense of excitement build in you as you approach it. I must have been (and looked) like a kid in a candy store, I was so excited on the day!!
Even though the weather was being typically British, going from torrential downpours one minute, to glorious sunshine the next, it all lent itself to the incredible atmosphere and dramatic surroundings. As soon as the skies cleared we would make the most of the grand outdoors and when the skies started to grumble and groan, the guests had beautiful rooms and so much space indoors to relax in.
So much thought and planning had gone into the day. Andy had made it his mission to make the day as perfect as he could for Sarah and it really showed in all the little details and most especially in the way his eyes lit up every time he looked at her.
One of my favourite parts of the day was waiting until the sun started to dip towards the far horizon, and the light turned a wonderful gold. We made our way outside, away from the guests, through the grounds and to the edge of a field that is home to two friendly donkeys.  As I was shooting the donkeys made their way over and insisted on being petted, photographed and their presence generally acknowledged. Sarah narrowly avoided having her dress nibbled on, but who could blame them for trying – she looked truly scrumptious in her gown!

Thank you so much for all the beautiful pictures they are all stunning! You did a fabulous job and made our day even more special. X

Hogarths Hotel

Oh where to start about this wedding day and this lovely couple – Simon and Claire?!
This wedding day was just perfect!
So much thought had gone into all the details, from the bespoke wedding favours (miniature bottles of booze in a rainbow of colours) to the lip shaped place holders that all the guests just had to play with, like the big kids we all are at heart.
Claire looked absolutely radiant and elegant in her gorgeous lace gown. Every time I looked through the lens at her I thought to myself ‘Grace Kelly’. Simon and his two best men looked dapper in their suits and Simon had a definite sparkle in his eye all day that really shines through the photographs.
The wedding took place at Hogarths Hotel in Solihull (my third wedding there this year already) and as usual, the venue and staff were top notch. I love this venue and every time I have the pleasure of returning for a shoot, I discover a new backdrop or a different angle that makes every couples photographs beautiful and unique.
Clair and Simon sent me this feedback after receiving their photographs. It made me cry!

The photos are wonderful and sum up our day perfectly!
Some of the pictures are so beautiful & brought a tear to my eye & others had us crying with laughter! (particularly the photo booth & evening dance moves!).
We had so many compliments about you before people had even seen the pics. And now we have the photos we definitely know we made the right decision asking you to photograph our wedding!
You were so patient with us (especially as neither one of us is particularly natural in front of the camera!).

Thank you again for our wonderful photos.
Best Wishes,
Claire & Simon x

Aston Wood Golf Club

It’s been years since I did a weather dance back home in Zimbabwe (don’t ask) however, the weekend of Sophie and Johns’ wedding, I was more than willing to do an anti rain dance to chase the storm fronts away that were creeping in..
Deciding not to put my neighbours or any innocent passers by through the ordeal of my dancing, I settled for packing the car with a portable studio, props, groundsheets, umbrellas and of course my trusty wellies ….
It was a very wet and windy day, the met office had issued severe weather warnings across the country but in true English fashion, no one let the elements deter them from having a truly lovely day.
Not being able to go outside at all, I set up my portable studio and brought out my trusty box of props. This went down an absolute storm (excuse the pun) and everyone joined in the photo fun.
Held at the lovely Aston Wood Golf Club, the venue and staff were splendid, it may have been wet an stormy outside but inside everyone was having a grand old time celebrating with the new Mr and Mrs Nicholls.

Hi Stephanie,
I have received my wedding photos and absolutely love them. Thank you so much! – Sophie

Mallory Court

Growing up in Zimbabwe and having an English father; whenever I would think about where I was born or where Dad came from (and where he got his funny accent), –  I would imagine beautiful, picturesque country villages and churches, with cobbled streets, thatched roofs and hedgerows full of wild flowers … The day that I shot this wedding, I felt like I had stepped into one of my very own childhood fantasies!  It was beautiful.
The wedding reception was held at the exquisite Mallory Court, where their attention to detail and service is second to none. We were able to capture truly stunning images in and around the beautiful gardens.

Hi Steph,
We just wanted to say a massive thank you for Sunday, you were amazing! The whole day just flew by and we are so excited to see the photos! 🙂

Hi Steph,
We just wanted to say thank you so much for the photos – we absolutely love them and love the presentation box that they came in, so pretty! It’s been great reliving the day going through them all!

Deer Park

There are some wedding days that you wish wouldn’t end and this was one of them. I had an absolute ball capturing Siarrad and Davids’ day.
I love the buzz of wedding preparation’s leading up to the ceremony. There is an electricity in the air, and people walk a fine edge between excitement and nerves. For myself as photographer that specialises in unguarded moments and expression, to capture the true story of a wedding day – this to me, is simply magic!
Siarrad was one of the most relaxed and dare I say ‘chilled’ brides I have ever had the privilege to photograph. She took everything in her stride and never stopped smiling. With 13 people in the bridal suit (8 bridal party members, 2 hair and make up artists, 2 videographers, 1 photographer) there was such a lively atmosphere. The sound of laughter and merriment must have echoed down the hotel corridors.
The running of the day was seamless and it all flowed so beautifully. The weather was perfect from a photographers point of view and because we had spoken about lighting and setting aside enough time for photographs on the day, I was able to take advantage of the beautiful late afternoon light and capture some truly gorgeous moments.
Deer Park is a fantastic venue. It was my first time shooting there and I am already itching to go back. With its country setting, panoramic views, beautiful gardens, access to fields and unlimited photo opportunities, it really is a country wedding photographers dream location. Unfortunately the deer deigned not to make an appearance on the day, however there is always next time!
I had the privilege to work with the lovely Matt and Russ from Shoot the Piano Player Films on the day and I can’t recommend them highly enough. These gents really know their stuff (and they laughed at my bad jokes)!
Siarrads and her bevy of beauties had their hair done by the fab Natalie from Rock ‘n Roller Parlour and they all looked stunning throughout the day.

Thank you Stephanie for your wonderful service at our wedding on 11th June 2016
You were so professional, friendly and helpful. You even coped with my photo-craze dad! XX

Grafton Manor

What a wedding Day!!
I could easily stop my blog right there with those four words, as this wedding day was just gorgeous.
Matt and Jane are such a special couple with a wonderful family and a fabulous group of friends. When all of these people came together to celebrate their love for one another and their children, it was truly a magical day.

We would just like to say thank you so much for photographing our special day. The memories will never be forgotten as you have captured those moments for us. Matt & Jane
