Moddershall Oaks

The first time I visited the beautiful Moddershall Oaks to meet Emma and Mike it was a cold snowy winters day and as I slowly drove up the long twisting drive, I was able to have a look around at the gardens and beautiful scenery. I had a feeling in my bones that their wedding day was going to be just a little bit special!

Meeting this wonderful couple for the first time at the hotel, I instantly felt so at ease and as we walked and talked, and then had a lovely cup of tea, chatting about their plans, I knew that we would all have an absolute ball on the day.

Emma follows my instagram account and loves the natural style of photography as much as I do, so when she whipped out her phone and started talking through my feed and pointing out which photos she loved, I will admit to getting just a tad excited!

The wedding day was one to remember, Emma was absolutely stunning in her gown and as she walked down the path to the patiently waiting Mike, there was a collective intake of breath from all the guests. Her smile never left her face all day and it was the same for everyone there.

As we drove away into the sunset at the end of this fabulous day, both my second photographer (Nic) and I had face ache from smiling along with everyone all day long!

Firstly I want to thank you for all your hard work shooting our wedding, you were amazing! My mum has not stopped talking about how helpful, kind and unintuitive you were while shooting.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for our wedding photos! You and Nic have done such an amazing job!!!! We absolutely love them all!!! I just don’t know how we will choose the ones we want. – Emma

Fazeley Studios

Oh what a wonderful, happy, smiley, electric, fun-filled, super-duper day!

There were permanent smiles on everyone’s faces (including mine) and I’m sure there were a lot of aching cheeks at the end of the night!

Having shot Sam and Mikes’ engagement photos in Digbeth last autumn; when it came to photos of just the two of them, we knew exactly what locations to head for and which street art to use as backdrops. Being old hands at the photo shoot malarkey from this first experience, they were both so relaxed about it all, that I was able to capture even more gorgeous photos of the two of them, and if it’s at all possible, with even bigger smiles!

The day started at the pub (naturally). The boys had a pint or two, to calm any nerves (sshh don’t tell the bride) and then we all made our way on foot to Fazeley Studios. As you can tell from the photos, we had just a bit of fun along the way!

I have never been a part of such a happy and laughter filled ceremony. At times I found I really had to concentrate on holding my cameras still, as I too was laughing along with the couple and all their quests.

I know I say this A – LOT, but this truly is one wedding day that I will never forget!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

You were incredible! I couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better photographer.

-Sam

Dodford Manor

Fun, fun, fun …..!!

Oh my goodness, what a great wedding day with such warm, happy and genuinely lovely people.

It may have been some of the most atrocious weather you could have on a wedding day, however it never dampened anyone’s spirits. In fact, I’d say that it made the whole day a more intimate event. There was so much laughter and merriment throughout the whole day, that when we drove away at the end of the night, our faces ached from smiling so much!

I was recommended to Sam and Jody by a couple who’s wedding I shot a couple of years ago and I was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. They are such a down to earth and lovely couple and I knew from our first meeting that their wedding day was going to be one to remember.

It was a day of firsts for me. My first Monday wedding, my first time shooting at the stunning Dodford Manor (even in miserable weather) and the first time I managed to catch my second photographer / assistant red handed eating my sandwiches, when he thought I wasn’t looking!

With its stone walls, beams and huge floor to ceiling windows looking over the fields, the manor is a gorgeous wedding venue! It was a bit of a shame that we couldn’t go outside for long to take more photos in the beautiful grounds and countryside but this was never a problem. We took lots of gorgeous, natural photographs inside and then set up a few lights, using the lovely stone walls as a backdrop for the more posed and formal shots that Sam and Jody wanted.

Hi Stephanie,

Love, Love my photos! Thank you!

I love them!

XXX – Sam

Ardencote Manor

I believe in the 6 degrees in separation theory, and being a wedding photographer who has a fair few years experience, this is quickly being halved as I get to meet and photograph so many people each year.

Nathan and Alyona were looking for a wedding photographer, having a mooch through my website and blogs when Nathan recognised the groom from a wedding I shot over 3 years ago (Gorcott hall) as one of his old football pals. Both Nathan and Alyona loved the photographs so they sent me an email asking if I was available on their wedding date. It was meant to be!

They are both such wonderful people and their wedding day was gorgeous. Both Nathan and Alyona are very musical and this was reflected on the day. Alyona even surprised Nathan, serenading him with a song she wrote just for him. There was not a dry eye in the room when she finished singing!

They were married in St Leonards (Beoley Church) which is where Nathan had asked Alyona to become Mrs Cooper, as they walked in the fields just below the church grounds one day.

The wedding reception was held at the stunning Ardencote Manor and I was a very happy photographer, as just like the church it’s a venue I know well, having shot there many times before. Although it was quite chilly early on in the day, the sun came out and we were able to have lots of fun outside and take advantage of both the church and manors grounds.

Hi Steph,

Thank you so much for our photos. They look beautiful.

I love them 🙂 Well done!!!! – Alyona

All Saints Church – Holiday Inn

It was Amy’s mum who initially contacted me back in early 2014. She had decided to have a look at wedding photographers one afternoon and after coming across my website, she rang me straight up. After a lovely chat, she said she would pass all the information on to her daughter and soon to be son in law.  A few hours later I received a text from Amy asking if they could organise a meeting with me, and as they say, ‘the rest is history’.

Two years later, as all the neighbours gathered at their garden gate, Amy emerged from the house to lots of “ooh’s” and “aahhs”. She was a vision! And, like all princesses, her carriage awaited.

The wedding was held at the beautifully grand All Saints Church in Bloxwich, where afterwards I was able to take lots of natural happy photographs of the new Mr and Mrs Sketchley-King and all their lovely guests enjoying the summer sunshine.

The wedding party then moved onto the Holiday Inn hotel and all the guests gathered in the reception room, sipping their drinks and eagerly waited for the newly married couple to arrive. An hour later, we were all still waiting when we found out that the wedding car they had swapped the carriage for, had broken down and they were stranded on the side of the road waiting for a replacement.

Nearly 90 minutes late to their own wedding reception, Amy and Jon finally arrived to much laughter and merriment and still had the biggest smiles on their faces. A little engine trouble was not going to spoil their day!

I love my photos so much! Thank you for everything. I am in love! You have done such a fabulous job honey, and we love you to bits! xxxx     – Amy

Oooh Wow! The photographs really are amazing.! You are brilliant, you really are!

All my love

Lisa (Amy’s’ sister)
